Overview
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Keen (operated by Keen Meds Inc.) is committed to ensuring that our website, livekeen.co, and the digital services we provide are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that every person deserves equal access to health and wellness information, telehealth services, and the tools available through our Platform. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continually work to improve the user experience for everyone.
Conformance Standard
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
While WCAG 2.1 Level AA is our target conformance level, we recognize that full conformance is an ongoing goal. We are actively working to identify and resolve any areas where our Platform may not yet meet these standards.
Measures We Have Taken
Keen Meds has taken the following measures to support the accessibility of livekeen.co:
- Internal Standards. Accessibility is included as a core consideration in our internal design and development standards.
- Design and Development Practices. We incorporate accessibility best practices into our design, development, and content creation workflows.
- Training. Members of our team receive ongoing guidance on digital accessibility requirements and implementation techniques.
- Periodic Reviews. We conduct periodic reviews and assessments of our Platform against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria to identify and prioritize accessibility improvements.
- User Feedback. We actively invite and review feedback from users regarding the accessibility of our Platform and use this feedback to guide improvements.
- Third-Party Evaluation. We may engage qualified third-party accessibility consultants to audit our Platform and recommend improvements.
- Accessibility Features
Our Platform includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML. We use semantic HTML elements to provide meaningful structure and facilitate navigation by assistive technologies.
- Keyboard Navigation. Core functionality of the Platform is designed to be operable through keyboard input alone.
- Text Alternatives. Images and non-text content include alternative text descriptions where applicable.
- Color Contrast. We aim to maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
- Resizable Text. Text on the Platform can be resized using standard browser controls without loss of content or functionality.
- Form Labels and Instructions. Form fields include labels, instructions, and error messages designed to be accessible to assistive technologies.
- Focus Indicators. Interactive elements provide visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Responsive Design. The Platform is designed to adapt to a range of screen sizes and devices, supporting accessibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile environments.
- Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
livekeen.co is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Operating system accessibility features (such as high contrast modes and display accommodations)
We develop and test our Platform using a combination of modern browsers (including the current and previous major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and assistive technology pairings. Accessibility may vary when using older browsers or less common assistive technology configurations.
Known Limitations
While we work to ensure that livekeen.co meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, some areas of the Platform may have known accessibility limitations, including:
- PDF Documents. Some downloadable documents may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents and will provide accessible alternatives upon request.
- Third-Party Content. Certain components of the Platform rely on third-party services (including payment processors, telehealth video tools, and laboratory service integrations) whose accessibility is managed by those third parties. While we select service providers with accessibility in mind, we cannot guarantee full conformance of third-party content.
- Legacy Content. Older content or pages may not yet have been updated to meet current accessibility standards. We are prioritizing the remediation of legacy content.
- Dynamic Content. Some dynamically generated content or interactive features may not yet fully conform to all WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. We are actively working to improve accessibility in these areas.
We document known accessibility issues as they are identified and prioritize remediation based on the severity of the barrier and the impact on users.
